Water And A Wife

So, Abraham sends his oldest servant to find a wife for his son, Isaac.

That sounds like some hard matchmaking for the servant if you ask me.

Anyways, the servant travels to a city and rests by the community well.

He claims a woman will arrive and respond with kindness, offering water to him and to his camels.

That's a ton of water to offer.

He claims it'll be a sign.

One that connects to the pattern of above and beyond compassion all throughout the bible.

Before he finishes his thought, it happens. A woman arrives and she offers water to both him and his camels.

The water wasn't hope in itself. The water was used to reflect the woman's character.

Clean water isn't eternal hope in itself. But it is a reflection of the character of Living Water.

Jesus.

Everything comes back to Jesus. All the hope. All the praise.

We just have to be willing to be used. Are you?
