Kids Helping Kids

Did you know there are service projects you can do without making a trip to the Dominican Republic?

In April, we were asked by Peachtree Corners Baptist Church (PCBC) if their children’s program could participate in a hands-on project to benefit Water at Work Ministry.

Of course we answered, “YES!”

PCBC purchased hygiene items and water bottles for the project. During one of their Wednesday evening meetings, children ages 4-11 assembled the hygiene items in water bottles and learned more about how kids in the DR will benefit from them.

Many were surprised to learn that families there often don’t have clean water in their homes!

The WASH (which stands for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) bottles will be distributed to children in Consuelo, DR this June in conjunction with a mobile dental clinic program. Families will be given low-cost dental care along with the free WASH bottles filled with a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and a coloring activity.

Thank you, Peachtree Corners Baptist Church!

Are you interested in providing WASH bottles for children in the Dominican Republic?

We need them year-round! Summer is the perfect time to gather a group of friends together for this easy project. Scan the QR code below to see all of the instructions and supplies needed and reach out if you have any questions. We will handle shipping the completed bottles to the DR.
